ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has issued a strict, final reminder to all intending pilgrims registered under the government Hajj scheme, establishing today as the absolute deadline for the submission of their second Hajj installment dues.
The nationwide directive marks the culmination of a multi-week collection window that opened earlier in the month, prompting a last-minute rush among applicants aiming to secure their slots for the upcoming pilgrimage.
Strict Cut-off and Risk of Application Cancellation
According to ministry spokespersons, the designated window—running from October 5 through October 20—was meticulously structured to align with foundational scheduling requirements set by relevant authorities. Officials have reiterated that failure to clear the outstanding financial dues by the end of today will carry severe consequences, chief among them being the immediate cancellation of the applicant’s Hajj submission.
In the event of a default or failure to deposit the requisite amount within the stipulated timeframe, the application will stand rejected. However, the ministry has clarified that any initial funds previously deposited by the affected individual will be systematically processed for a full refund back to their designated accounts.
Streamlined Digital Channels and Medical Mandates
To facilitate smooth transactions and minimize delays, the federal government has kept multiple digital payment avenues operational. Pilgrims under the government scheme have been directed to utilize designated commercial banks linked with the national portal, or conveniently complete their transactions remotely via the official Pak Hajj App and web-based portal.
In addition to financial clearance, the religious affairs division has placed heavy emphasis on health compliance. Intending pilgrims are legally required to upload an attested, doctor-verified medical fitness certificate directly onto the digital Hajj portal alongside their payment verification. The step ensures that all travelers meet the rigorous physical and health standards mandated for the spiritual journey.
Background on Package Structures and Quotas
The current administrative cycle follows a historic milestone achieved earlier in August, when the online booking for all government-managed Hajj seats was successfully completed through the digital reservation framework for the first time.
Under the established government framework, pilgrims have been accommodated across carefully priced packages. This includes a standard 40-day package priced around Rs1.2 million, alongside a more concise, 20- to 25-day specialized package valued at approximately Rs1.3 million.
As the hours tick down to the midnight deadline, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has strongly urged all remaining unpaid applicants to utilize online facilities instantly to avoid losing their sacred opportunity. Pilgrims have also been advised to stay closely connected through the Pak Hajj application for real-time notifications, subsequent training schedules, and flight itinerary announcements.
