ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially commenced the collection process for the second installment of dues under the government Hajj scheme, establishing a strict and unyielding deadline for all prospective pilgrims.

Strict Timeline and Payment Guidelines

According to notifications issued by the ministry, intending pilgrims enrolled in the government scheme have been directed to deposit their second-phase dues between October 5 and October 20. The collection framework requires all successful applicants to clear their outstanding balances through designated authorized commercial bank branches within this specific two-week window.

Ministry officials have emphasized that adherence to the timetable is vital for maintaining the continuity of administrative preparations. Financial processing teams across partner banks have been instructed to facilitate applicants smoothly while ensuring all transaction records are updated on the central Hajj management portal in real time.

Automatic Application Cancellation for Defaulters

In a firm warning to applicants, the ministry clarified that missing the October 20 cutoff will carry immediate administrative consequences. Any pilgrim who fails to submit the mandatory second installment by the closing date will face the automatic cancellation of their Hajj application.

Under the defined policy, if an applicant defaults on the deadline, their slot will be declared vacant, and the application will be formally terminated. However, the ministry has assured that any initial payments or first installments previously deposited by canceled applicants will be processed for standard refund back into their respective bank accounts according to established protocols.

Finalizing Preparations for the Upcoming Pilgrimage

The timely collection of financial dues remains a critical step for Pakistani authorities as they coordinate housing, transport, and flight arrangements with Saudi ministries well in advance. With the October 20 deadline fast approaching, religious affairs authorities have urged all affected individuals, families, and group leaders to complete their bank transactions promptly to secure their places for the sacred journey.
